How quickly can the sauna tent be set up?
The NORLIVA sauna tent can be set up like a pop-up tent in just 1 to 2 minutes. Simply pull it apart, set up the frame, place the stove, and connect it – then you're ready to go. The entire setup takes only about 5 minutes and requires no tools.
How long does it take for the tent to warm up?

How can I control the temperature?
Is the sauna tent safe?
Yes, when used properly, the sauna tent is completely safe. The stove gets very hot and should only be handled by the designated handle and with heat-resistant gloves, for example, when adding logs. The tent material is fire-resistant and built robustly. It is important to have a stable setup on a level surface and to use the stove only with the chimney open.
Please note: Before the first use, the safety instructions in the included manual must be carefully followed.
What material is the sauna tent made of?
The tent is constructed in three layers: the inside and outside are made of Oxford 420D fabric, which is water-repellent and flame-retardant coated. In between, there is an insulating polyester layer. The windows are made of clear, flexible TPU plastic.
Why are the seams translucent?
By fusing the fabric layers, no needle holes are created through which water or steam could penetrate the inner layers of the fabric.
Laser-cut connections are uniformly strong across the entire surface, rather than pointwise as with sewn seams. This makes the material tear-resistant and more resilient to tension or pressure.
Thread-based seams can wear out over time due to moisture, heat, or movement. In contrast, laser-cut connections are easier to care for and longer-lasting.
Can the sauna tent stay outside permanently?
Yes, the tent is designed for year-round outdoor use and withstands rain, snow, wind, and sun. Over time, it may fade due to UV exposure, but this does not affect its functionality. If the sauna tent is permanently outdoors, we recommend using a suitable rain cover, which is available directly in the Norliva shop.
How much snow load can the sauna tent withstand?
With dry new snow, the roof can withstand up to about 5 cm of snow height.
Do I need to season the oven?
Yes, before the first use, the outdoor wood stove must be burned out to remove production residues and odors. This process should not take place in the tent.
What fuels can I use?
It is important that the wood is dry. Hardwoods like beech, oak, or maple are best suited, as they burn longer and hotter. Avoid damp or resinous wood.
Does the tent or the stove emit chemical substances?
No. When the oven has been properly seasoned, it no longer releases harmful or volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The tent is free from health-concerning emissions and is designed to be breathable.
Where can I set up the tent?
The NORLIVA sauna tent can be used flexibly – in your own garden, at campsites, or in nature. No building permit is required on private property. When using it in the open air, regional regulations and nature conservation rules should be observed.
On what ground may I set up the tent?
Ideal is a flat surface made of grass, wood, sand, or even ice. Sharp stones or uneven ground should be avoided to prevent injury hazards and material damage.
Important: when using grass, a fireproof base should be placed under the heat protection mat of the stove, otherwise the grass may show burn marks.
Is it normal for the oven pipe to glow?
Yes, that is completely normal and indicates a strong heat development. The function and lifespan of the oven are not affected by this.
How do I care for the sauna tent?
When can I pack the sauna tent back up after use?
Once the oven has cooled down safely, the tent can be folded up again. The oven and chimney pipes should be completely cooled before being stored – active cooling with water is not necessary.
